Hi, hello! I’m Kellyé! I like to tell people that it is very North Carolina of me to have gotten into furniture, and very Anthropological of me to have become a nerd about it. 

 

My aesthetic has been formed by growing up in the mountains of Asheville, NC; an art-centered hippie town, sprinkled with a touch of Art Deco elegance. To put it simply, I am heavily influenced by nature, I love color, natural materials, symmetry, shimmer and shine, as well as evoking the feeling of a welcoming and comforting space. 

 

My fascination with furniture can be summed up in a quote by designer Frank Chimero who says “people ignore designs that ignore people,” and what are people but stories embodied? I believe that from story comes emotion and from emotion comes a lasting impression and interactive connection to design.
